Create Math Art with Desmos

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Create math art and reinforce graphing skills at the same time using the free online graphing calculator, Desmos, in this hands-on session for anyone who teaches math. You’ll create a piece of art using lines, curves, or any equations you teach in your classroom. Make a list of equations with domain and range and exchange with a partner to assess graphing skills. You can modify this activity in multiple ways to give your students a creative and fun way to communicate their graphing skills. If there’s time, you can use the Screencastify extension to record your thinking. You can participate in this session with a laptop, Chromebook, or iPad with the Desmos app installed.
